At Quality Care Chiropractic in Aurora, our staff will coach you to make more progress with less joint stress & pain. B3 Bands (blood flow restriction training) use calibrated compression so your body responds like it's lifting heavy—even when you’re not. That means faster adaptation for busy athletes in season, smarter return-to-play when you’re managing pain or coming back from injury, and powerful health & fitness goals for non-athletes.
During BFR, specialized bands slow down venous return from working muscles. In response, your body ramps up muscle-building and endurance signals similar to high-intensity training—yet you use light loads or bodyweight. Sessions are typically and scale to your sport, position, and current fitness level.
Court & field sports: Basketball (cardio endurance, increase vertical jump, faster sprints), Soccer (faster change of direction, running endurance), Football (build muscle better than regular weight room workouts without dangerous max lifts or stressing joints, especially in teens), Lacrosse, Hockey, Rugby, Volleyball, Baseball/Softball, Tennis/Pickleball (shoulder/elbow-friendly power).
Track, running & endurance: Sprinters & jumpers (accel/decel, vertical), Middle/long-distance runners, Triathletes, Cyclists, Rowers, Swimmers (arm/shoulder pump with low load).
Strength & hybrid: Lifters, CrossFit/functional fitness, tactical (police/fire/military), manual trades (joint-conscious workouts, protect your back, shoulders, knees for years to come).
Adult & Masters competitors, busy rec-league athletes who want progress without beating up joints.
Performing arts & cheer/gymnastics/dance: power, endurance, and jump capacity with less impact.
* B3 isn’t medical advice or a surgery replacement. We’ll screen you and, when appropriate, coordinate with your PCP/orthopedist.
Note: Cardiac rehab requires clearance from your PCP/cardiologist.
A fast way to see how B3 fits your goals—sports performance, weight loss, general fitness, cardiac-informed conditioning, or rehab & recovery—is to take our short screener.
BFR is well-tolerated for most people when properly supervised, and is as safe or safer than traditional exercise. We screen each patient and adjust B3 band pressure and exercise selection individually.

“Before B3, I relied on two double espressos a day just to have enough energy to get through the day. After two weeks of B3 workouts (only 3–5 minutes each day), I was able to quit coffee entirely—my energy became steady all day. The sugar cravings faded, my heartburn and sinus congestion disappeared, I was getting to sleep faster and feeling rested when I woke up, and I started dropping weight while adding muscle for the first time in 10 years. B3 isn’t just changing my workouts; it’s completely overhauling my health and fitness.”
